A Hot November Night

NMRF gives $99,600 in 2011 Research Grants

Winners of the 2011 NMRF grants for medical research were announced by Foundation President Brad Turnbull at the  Nepean Scientific Day held at the Nepean Clinical School on  4th November 2011.

NMRF AGM and President’s Report

Robyn Caughlan donates painting to NMRF

Famous Dharruk Artist Robyn Caughlan kindly donated the pictured canvas painting “My Journey” to the Nepean Medical Research Foundation, Sydney University which now hangs on the 5th Floor Sydney Medical School Nepean.

Researchers at work – Dr Leanne Stokes

April 23, 2011

Dr Leanne Stokes completed her PhD in Immunology from the University of Birmingham, UK in 2004. Following her main research interest into ion channels in immune cells, Dr Stokes then joined the group of Professor Annmarie Surprenant at the University of Sheffield, UK for a postdoctoral scientist position studying the P2X7 receptor.
